Job summary

gobravvo is seeking a NOC Technician to monitor NG911 network infrastructure and respond to alarms and outages during overnight shifts. You will triage issues, document timelines, and coordinate with PSAP staff, internal teams, and external partners to ensure rapid incident resolution.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and adherence to escalation procedures in a mission-critical public-safety environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using network monitoring dashboards and alerting tools for real-time detection of network events.
• Experience creating, updating, and managing detailed incident records with timelines and troubleshooting notes.
• Understanding of IP connectivity, network equipment, and telecommunications services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure using dashboards and alerting tools to detect alarms, outages, and abnormal conditions across the NG911 network.
• Receive, document, triage service issues; create, update, and close incident records with timelines, troubleshooting steps, and vendor responses.
• Coordinate incident response and maintain timely communication with 911 centers, internal teams, and external technical support partners.
• Assign severity levels to incidents based on impact, follow SOPs, and escalate to Tier II support, vendors, or management as needed.
• Gather detailed technical information from PSAP staff regarding equipment malfunctions, call processing issues, and service interruptions for first-level diagnosis.
• Support operational readiness by adhering to documentation, communication, and escalation procedures.
