Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse at the CN II level. This 12-hour shift position (7 PM to 7:30 AM) requires advanced competencies and autonomy with collaboration across the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care for neonates.

Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree (BSN preferred) and California RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certifications. On-call is not required, weekend rotation is every other weekend, and compensation aligns with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or
• Associate's Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit in lieu of BSN.
• 2 Years as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED
• Current STABLE certification, preferred. Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN-Neonatal), or equivalent certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the interprofessional health care team to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered, timely and equitable care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient-specific needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient interventional responses ensuring swift follow-up as needed.
• Attend deliveries as assigned and provide immediate newborn assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and transition-to-extrauterine-life support for neonates following birth.
