Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a dedicated EEG Technician for the night shift. You will monitor EEG tracings, respond to seizure activity, and document procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Role requires strong data interpretation, excellent communication with patients and staff, and the ability to mentor students and junior staff. BLS certification is required, and REEGT/ABRET preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years in a patient care environment.
• Certification: REEGT/ABRET preferred; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EEG tracings and respond to seizure activity.
• Explain testing procedures to patients and families.
• Train and direct work of staff and students as requested.
• Maintain diagnostic testing equipment and supplies.
• Conduct long-term EEG monitoring in EMU/ICU settings.
• Ensure accurate archive and retrieval of tracings.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and related activities.
