Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a high-acuity setting on the night shift. You will assess, implement, and evaluate treatments, and collaborate with the care team to develop individualized plans.

Responsibilities include performing procedures, managing ventilators, ABG/CBG analysis, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards. NBRC credentials and Florida licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Maintain records and communicate information effectively.
• Strong computer literacy and clear written communication.
• Critical thinking and patient assessment to modify treatment.
• Adherence to infection control standards.
• Airway maintenance and management of artificial airways.
• Proficient administration of oxygen, Heliox, nitric oxide, nitrogen.
• Knowledge of ventilation modes and management.
• NBRC credential and licensure per unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat neonatal and pediatric patients per protocol.
• Perform respiratory therapies and monitor progress.
• Maintain and adjust care plans with the health care team.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Document procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond to Code Blue per American Heart Association guidelines.
