Job summary

Parkland Health seeks a licensed RN for the Newborn Nursery on a part-time night shift. You will coordinate patient care, assess infants, and implement care plans with the care team to ensure safe transitions and prevent delays.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a Texas RN license or compact license, BLS, NRP on hire, and at least two years of neonatal experience. You may precept and rotate as Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must hold current RN license in Texas or valid compact license.
• Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Must obtain NRP certification on hire or placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care per nursing process and standards.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team and delegate appropriately.
• Perform ongoing assessments and respond to changes in condition.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn education.
• Document timely and accurately in patient records.
• Serve as Charge Nurse on rotation and as a preceptor.
