Job summary

Laredo Medical Center is seeking an RN to join the Nursery team for night shifts. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, family-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work with physicians and the nursing staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for newborns and their families.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure, 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, and BCLS certification. ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensure in Texas is required; BCLS competency required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care following the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff for care planning and execution.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards.
• Document care and activities in the medical record.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code events.
