Job summary

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Milieu Specialist to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu under supervision. You will support admissions/discharges, crisis interventions, and daily activities while collaborating with the care team to uphold hospital policies and patient care standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of related experience, education in behavioral health fields preferred, and is prepared to train and precept staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor's/Associate degree in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, therapeutic milieu and program structure.
• Assist with admissions and discharges and daily activities.
• Perform crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate MHT groups and precept new MHTs.
• Attend staffing and preceptor meetings.
