Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System in Kentucky seeks a Milieu Coordinator to support the safe, efficient, and therapeutic operation of the milieu. You will supervise nursing units, mentor Mental Health Techs, and lead orientation to model professional behavior and boundaries.

You will provide on-the-floor coaching, participate in safety huddles, and ensure daily schedules support patient stability and structured care within a 140-bed inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• A college degree is preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of direct patient care experience and/or completion of Nursing Assistant Training or prior psychiatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall functioning of the nursing unit(s).
• Serve as preceptor for Mental Health Technicians or oversee precepting of new orientees.
• Lead floor orientation for training newly hired Mental Health Techs and model professional conduct.
• Provide real-time feedback, coaching, and competency training to Mental Health Techs.
• Participate with the charge nurse in safety huddles and communicate patient risk factors and updates.
• Ensure daily patient schedules (meals, group therapy, recreation, hygiene, rest) are maintained for structure.
