Job summary

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our night-shift team (7:00pm-7:30am). Under the guidance of an RN, you will provide continuous patient care, supervision, and positive role modeling across age groups, from adolescents to geriatrics, in a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, reporting changes, following treatment plans, conducting MHT-led groups, and using CPI techniques.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or NAR certification required.
• Bachelor's/associate degree in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to RN.
• Follow treatment plans and contribute to care development/revisions.
• Lead MHT groups and use CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge and life adjustments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment and follow universal precautions.
