Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System in Kentucky seeks a Milieu Coordinator to support the safe, efficient, and therapeutic operation of the milieu. Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in direct patient care and/or Nursing Assistant Training or psychiatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall functioning of the nursing unit(s).
• Serve as preceptor for MHTs and oversee new orientees precepting on the unit.
• Lead the floor orientation for training newly hired Mental Health Techs showing ideal therapeutic interactions, boundaries, and conduct.
• Provide real-time feedback, coaching and training to Mental Health Techs.
• Participate with the charge nurse in safety huddles and communicate patient risk factors and updates.
• Ensure daily patient schedules (meals, group therapy, recreation, hygiene, rest periods) are maintained for structure.
