Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hospital clinical laboratory experience.
• Must obtain state license prior to start.
• ASCP certifications accepted: MLS, MLT, M, SM, MB, or AMT.
• Night shift: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM with rotating weekends/holidays.
• Experience with accessioning and culture methodologies; familiarity with PCR and organism identification.

Responsibilities

• Perform Gram stains and culture plating.
• Handle specimen receipt and sensitivities testing.
• Work in the microbiology laboratory within a hospital setting (Level I trauma center familiarity).
• Accession and culture methods; molecular extractions (RNA/DNA) advantageous.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with lab protocols.
