Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Clifton, NJ site, working Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role includes complex testing, technical leadership, and staff training within Microbiology General.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of clinical experience, with a Master degree required for delegated supervisory duties, and HEW certification preferred. Excellent communication and QC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF).
• United States educated candidates must provide official Transcript.
• HEW certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates Med Tech I and II responsibilities and quality testing.
• Provide technical direction for complex, non-routine testing and troubleshooting.
• Investigate analytical problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Train and develop staff under supervision guidelines.
• Ensure QC theory is applied and trends reviewed.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize production flow.
