Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a Registered Medication Associate (RMA) to support residents with medication administration, in compliance with state standards, while upholding the company’s culture.

This full-time night shift role offers a pay rate of $18 per hour, a comprehensive benefits package, weekend flexibility, and opportunities for ongoing education. You will be part of a caring team that values quality, safety, and respect for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must have certification as Resident Care Associate.
• Must maintain continuing education credits as required by state.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours for resident care.
• Demonstrates compassion for seniors and their families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment including a computer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and state standards when administering medications.
• Administer and record medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Present medications to residents and observe ingestion or administration.
• Observe and report adverse reactions or side effects to the Resident Care Director.
• Document refusals and reasons for non-administration.
• Store medications safely and maintain accountability.
• Document vital signs during administration when indicated.
• Record and restock medication inventories and arrange reorders.
• Document relevant information in resident records and complete incident reports.
• Maintain infection control practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Communicate clearly with residents and staff and seek guidance when needed.
• Provide verbal encouragement and support to residents.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment; participate in required trainings.
