Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field or 12-month internship preferred.
• ASCP certified or equivalent certification required.
• 5 years medical technology experience.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Maintain equipment and records for quality control.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses and examinations on all types of specimens received.
• Documents testing activities and results using the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintains reagents and test supplies to ensure timely results.
• Participates in evaluating new test procedures and analyses.
• Complies with Oregon health and OSHA requirements.
• Assists in introducing new procedures and evaluating new instruments.
