Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to manage specimen processing and testing across multiple lab sections. You will maintain accuracy and timeliness under supervision, with responsibilities in processing, phlebotomy, and microbiology setups as needed.

Responsibilities include calibration, instrument maintenance, LIS data entry, and reporting. AASCP/MT-AMT certification is required in OR, with preferred BS degree and hospital MT experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in medical laboratory technology required.
• Two years MT experience in hospital setting preferred.
• ASCP or MT-AMT certification required in OR.

Responsibilities

• Maintains responsibility for specimen processing and test performance.
• Produces accurate test reports and supports patient care.
• Works in two or more lab sections (processing, phlebotomy, microbiology).
• Performs calibration and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Documents results and adheres to QC policies.
