Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Fruitville ER with a night shift from 7PM to 7AM. The role requires current licensure and expertise in hematology, chemistry, and immunohematology.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and ASCP certification, with a preference for at least one year of active MT experience. Florida licensure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or an equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year as an active Medical Technologist is preferred.
• Recent graduates and licensed applicants may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Florida State licensure as Medical Technologist required.
• Licensure in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely testing per licensure and facility policies.
• Demonstrate service excellence and professional communication at all times.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as oriented.
• Other duties as assigned by the department.
