Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL, is seeking a motivated Certified Medical Technologist for full-time night shifts (11:00pm–7:00am). The role involves performing lab tests, quality control, and supporting the laboratory team in a busy hospital setting.

The successful candidate will hold a Medical Technology degree, have or be eligible for Florida tech licensure, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• College degree in Medical Technology.
• Preferred experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
• State of Florida Technologist or higher license in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology or proof of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintains quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Educates new employees and participates in CEU activities.
• Communicates effectively with other departments and clinicians as lab ambassador.
• Reviews reference lab results and enters data accurately into the system.
• Organizes work to minimize pre- and post-analytic delays and multitasks tests.
