Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Fruitville ER to cover the night shift (7 PM–7 AM). The role requires active licensure in Florida and demonstrated competency in hematology, clinical chemistry, and immunohematology, with ASCP preferred.

The successful candidate will perform accurate laboratory testing, uphold quality control, and support patient care in a busy emergency department setting. This position offers full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or associate level technologist.
• At least one year as a currently active Medical Technologist is preferred.
• Recent graduates and licensed applicants may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Florida State licensure as a Medical Technologist.
• Licensure in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology.
• Serology and Microbiology a plus.
• ASCP certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely testing in areas for which licensed by the State of Florida.
• Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with the lab team to ensure quality and timely results.
