Job summary

MultiCare Auburn Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician for overnight coverage with a 4x10 hour schedule (9pm–7:30am). In this role you will manage specimen intake, perform tests, ensure QC, and troubleshoot instrument issues to support patient care in a busy lab setting.

The position requires an associate degree, MLT certification, and prefer candidates with 1 year of lab experience; military training may substitute the degree. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or military substitution accepted.
• MLT (ASCP)CM or MLT (ASCP) certification required.
• 50-week military program may substitute degree.
• Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist cert or eligible if phlebotomy duties.
• Minimum 1 year lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and identify specimens; ensure proper specimen labeling.
• Perform patient analytic laboratory testing and quality control.
• Maintain instrument calibration and data analysis; troubleshoot.
