Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Redmond, WA. The work schedule is Wednesday-Saturday nights, 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM, with rotating holidays.

You will determine specimen acceptance, perform routine and complex procedures, monitor instrumentation, and report results to deliver quality patient care. Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Life Science or ASCP/AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Life Science or ASCP/AMT certification.
• Experience in laboratory testing and specimen handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
