Job summary

Kellanova is seeking an on-site maintenance technician for the Rome, GA plant. This night shift role runs 5pm-5am, Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday, with starting pay of $29.05 per hour and a raise to $30.51 after 60 days.

You will join a collaborative team responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include preventive maintenance, repairs, and quick changeovers, along with strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and complete repetitive physical tasks throughout the day, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance & Repair – Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including industrial ovens.
• Equipment Setup & Changeovers – Prepare equipment for production runs, complete changeovers, and respond quickly to machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Safety & Compliance Practices – Follow all established safety, health, quality, and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
