Job summary

Hoover Treated Wood Products, Inc. in Eastman, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Night Shift to join our team. The role is a night-shift hourly position, 3PM–11PM, Monday–Friday, with pay ranges of $25-$30/hour based on experience and certifications.

The successful candidate will provide mechanical and some electrical support to plant operations, work with a maintenance team of 8, and ensure safety and reliability of equipment. Weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience or certificate from a post-secondary maintenance/electrical program.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment.
Basic computer skills and ability to update work orders.
Formal electrical or industrial maintenance training preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical and some electrical support to plant operations.
Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Design, install, repair, inspect, and calibrate equipment and controls.
Perform preventive maintenance and document checks.
Assist with job kits for maintenance, installations, and PMs.
Operate hand tools and test equipment; interpret drawings and specs.
Interface with design/engineering for efficient installations and documentation.
Maintain organized, safe work areas and equipment.
Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage.
