Job summary

Freight Flex, LLC is seeking an After-Hours Operations Specialist to support our freight brokerage operations outside of standard business hours. This role ensures seamless load execution, proactive issue resolution, and high-level customer and carrier communication during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or 3PL operations preferred
• Strong understanding of carrier communication and management
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills (phone, email, text)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all active shipments during after-hours periods
• Track loads proactively and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Communicate with carriers to confirm status updates, delays, and issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems such as:
• Missed pickups/deliveries
• Equipment breakdowns
• Provide timely updates to customers via email, phone, or TMS
• Escalate critical issues to leadership when necessary
• Update internal systems (TMS, CRM like HubSpot, etc.) with accurate load notes
• Ensure proper documentation and handoff to daytime operations team
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications
