Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an Logistics Administrative Specialist to support daily operations, customer service, purchasing, reporting, and fleet recordkeeping. You will assist with order processing, shipping logistics, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and timely processing across multiple departments.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 1–3 years in logistics or related fields, and the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in logistics, transportation, warehouse, distribution, or related environment preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and ad-hoc tasks including administrative work, customer service, purchasing, reporting, and supporting daily operations.
• Track and maintain vehicle records with supervisors (overweight permits, fuel cards, vehicle registrations, inspections).
• Support fleet maintenance by receiving, inspecting, and inventorying parts and maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Review order forms for proper coding, quantities, and approvals; process orders and prepare packing lists.
• Coordinate shipping logistics, track shipments, and verify timing of arrivals and departures.
• Prepare purchase orders, order shipping materials, and monitor supply inventory.
• Verify accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments and update system/files to maintain records.
• Produce standard reports and assist with intercompany/vendor billing; troubleshoot and reconcile paperwork.
