Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• 2–5 years in logistics planning, transportation, distribution, or related experience.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dry and refrigerated truckload, LTL, and specialized freight movements.
• Plan and prepare schedules balancing all parties' needs with load efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers and transportation providers.
• Communicate with plant personnel, broker/asset carriers, and warehouses to resolve shipment issues and adjustments; keep all parties informed of changes.
• Ensure freight is scheduled and executed according to customer delivery requirements and warehouse capacities.
• Reconcile transactions in the systems and with customers, haulers, and members daily.
• Ensure proper documentation and data entry for product and freight data in systems.
• Review weekly activity and provide month-to-date performance estimates when appropriate.
• Assist with or perform demand forecasts for peak delivery periods.
• May negotiate contract terms and rates within internal parameters.
