Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks a Transportation Logistics professional to oversee the movement of fluid milk products across the United States, ensuring on-time delivery at competitive costs while complying with all applicable regulations. You will direct delivery schedules, manage carrier relationships, and negotiate freight rates.

Daily duties include inputting loads into TMS, tendering to carriers, and collaborating with DFA facilities to meet service KPIs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of food safety and supply chain integrity
• Strong understanding of trucking and DOT guidelines
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely delivery by coordinating with DFA and customer locations and scheduling deliveries
• Input daily load information into TMS and tender loads to carriers
• Find qualified carriers and manage carrier relationships (rates, communication, issue resolution)
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers for best cost and service
• Maintain compliance with contract and insurance requirements
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with DFA facilities and external customers
• Resolve delivery-related issues and monitor adherence to KPIs
• Keep up-to-date with applicable regulations (DOT, trucking)
• Assist with after-hours and weekend duties as needed
