Job summary

Milford School District is seeking a custodial professional to join a 12-month, full-time team. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, minor maintenance assistance, and setup for events, with duties across multiple school facilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred. The role requires physical tasks, ladder climbing, and adherence to safety protocols, under the supervision of the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a custodian or in housekeeping or maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive daily lifting up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 15 feet.
• Carry out custodial duties: scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, restroom sanitation.
• Clean and disinfect classrooms, cafeterias, offices, hallways, gyms, locker rooms, nurse areas and other facilities.
• Relocate furniture and set up/break down spaces for meetings, testing, programs, or events.
• Inspect building areas and report safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Work with custodial team and respond to district needs as directed by supervisor.
