Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician IV to join our General Lab team. You will perform and interpret tests across complexity levels and support patient care in a Magnet Hospital setting.

This regular PRN role requires strong adherence to CLIA regulations, quality control, documentation, and continuing education; you will work on 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. shifts, with a variable schedule, and contribute to high-quality laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Meets the CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing personnel grandfathering clause.
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided.
• Education will be verified.
• Education outside of the United States requires translation and proof of foreign equivalency from a NACES member.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Perform laboratory testing in a compliant manner.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and awareness as it pertains to specific job duties.
• Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting and take corrective action.
