Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist for its General Lab. The PRN role covers shifts from 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and 10:00 PM–6:30 AM with weekend rotation, performing and interpreting tests while upholding laboratory standards.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in a relevant science and Florida technologist licensure; ASCP MT/MLT/MLS certification is preferred, with a possible bachelor’s degree and 1 year clinical experience.

Formación

• Associate degree or equivalent in chemical/physical/biological sciences or medical technology
• Florida technologist license required
• Specialties in Microbiology or Immunohematology or multiple licenses preferred

Responsabilidades

• Conduct quality laboratory testing and result reporting per department standards
• Identify patient specimens and testing orders accurately
• Ensure specimen integrity and resolve unsatisfactory specimens
• Resolve pending results from laboratory information system
• Report critical information to physicians and supervising staff
• Maintain reagent control dates and inventory
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Troubleshoot instruments and perform start‑ups/shutdowns
• Assist physicians, phlebotomists and nurses with consults and support
• Document quality control and out‑of‑range results
