Job summary

fairlife, LLC in Dexter, NM is seeking a Laboratory Technician for 12-hour night shifts. You will support the Quality Department with milk testing, microbiological and chemical analyses, data entry, and daily reporting.

The role requires safe operation of lab instruments, accurate documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Entry-level to graduate candidates are welcome with a focus on laboratory coursework, strong communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent level of relevant experience required.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate lab testing instrumentation correctly (moisture/solids, protein, fat, pH).
• Ensure instrumentation is used safely, efficiently, and sanitary.
• Perform daily quality line audits, evaluations and testing on plant floor.
• Conduct sensory evaluations on finished products.
• Maintain laboratory data worksheets and logs accurately.
• Report results to relevant stakeholders in a timely, confidential manner.
• Prepare solutions and media for tests.
• Notify QA Manager of unusual results or defects and perform re-checks.
