Job summary

Rythm Health is seeking a Laboratory Associate for its overnight shift, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday–Friday. The role involves data entry, specimen accessioning, and processing in a regulated clinical laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate has a biology/chemistry-related degree and is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable using LIS and lab equipment. This position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in biology, chemistry, medical laboratory science, or related field.
• Comfortable working with LIS and clinical lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to handle blood specimens in a laboratory setting.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, and track incoming specimens using LIS.
• Verify specimen integrity, labeling accuracy, and documentation compliance.
• Aliquot and prepare blood samples according to established protocols.
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate electronic laboratory records.
• Adhere to CLIA/CAP-compliant SOPs, laboratory safety requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace.
• Communicate specimen status and promptly escalate issues to the Lab Supervisor.
• Support additional laboratory tasks as needed to meet operational demands.
