Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I in Chantilly, VA, working Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. This non-licensed role supports the Clinical Laboratory - Pain Management department by assisting with general lab tasks and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Shift is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves missing samples in the department.
• Respond to “code purple” and document findings.
• Trainer for the department Lab Assistants and completes training/competency checklists as appropriate.
• Maintains files for department records.
• Assist with the department Improvement Program.
• Sorting and accessioning incoming specimens into LIS and delivering to testing.
