Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Trainee in Chantilly, VA, working Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. You will perform assigned test procedures under supervision in designated specialties and support quality control and safety standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a busy clinical lab environment, with potential eligibility for performance bonuses and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or qualifies as a Technologist under 42 CFR
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation from NACES or AICE
• 493.1489.

Responsabilités

• Perform assigned analytical tests, up to the reporting step, under the direction of senior laboratory personnel in accordance with SOPs ensuring quality control requirements.
• Adhere to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Maintain turnaround times for results including STATs or critical results.
• Ensure test systems are in control for each test performed.
• Inform supervisory personnel of any problems with test procedures and cooperate with investigations.
• Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a safe, functional, and sanitary condition.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety requirements.
