Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Chantilly, VA, working Sunday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM in the Clinical Toxicology department.

You will perform tests of moderate to high complexity, exercise independent judgement, and support QC, instrument maintenance, and process improvements. A BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field is required, plus at least 1 year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology or qualifies as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1489.
• 1 year laboratory experience and/or training (high complexity testing).
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independence.
• Support quality control, troubleshooting and instrument maintenance.
• Enter results into LIS and ensure timely reporting to physicians.
