Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I for the Chantilly, VA laboratory. The role operates Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, supporting the clinical laboratory and handling routine preparatory tasks under supervision.

This non-licensed position performs sample handling, labeling and basic testing preparation, with opportunities for training and career development in a large medical laboratory network.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of college courses preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves missing samples in the department.
• Respond to code purple and document findings.
• Trainer for the department Lab Assistants and completes training/competency checklists as appropriate.
• Resolves pending list in coordination with Lab Assistants and Medical Lab Scientists.
• Liaison for the department and technical support.
• Maintains files for department records.
