Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a motivated kitchen lead to oversee night-shift operations and ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for the next day. You will monitor ingredient levels, uphold food safety and quality standards, label items correctly, and maintain sanitation across all stations.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in fast-paced kitchens, strong leadership, and reliable communication skills. This role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with hourly pay of $23–$25

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation assigned production to ensure the kitchen is fully ready for next-day operations.
• Monitor ingredient levels, ensure proper rotation, and uphold quality and freshness standards.
• Maintain labeling standards and ensure items meet food safety, storage and expiration guidelines.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation across all kitchen stations, tools, and equipment.
• Restock essential supplies and verify stations are prepped for the following day.
• Execute opening and closing procedures with attention to detail, including equipment shutdown/start-up and proper storage of ingredients.
• Record daily waste and ensure compliance with inventory and waste management protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized walk-in cooler and kitchen for seamless morning operations.
• Ensure consistent opening/closing routines to support smooth shift transitions.
• Foster communication between BOH and FOH teams to support efficient shifts.
