Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to support a mission-critical sports environment. The role covers server, network, and virtualization tasks with an overnight shift.

You will ensure uptime for game-day technology and corporate operations, working with monitoring tools and enterprise appliances in a demanding setting. The ideal candidate has strong Windows Server, AD, vulnerability management, and backup experience, plus the ability to document handoffs and thrive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or Managed Services experience.
• Strong Cisco networking experience with hands-on Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting.
• Experience monitoring network circuits and coordinating with telecommunications vendors.
• Windows Server administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Vulnerability remediation and security patch deployment across servers and network devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure supporting corporate and game-day operations.
• Troubleshoot Cisco switches, circuits, wireless infrastructure, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with service providers to resolve network outages and performance concerns.
• Deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware vCenter.
• Perform Windows Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
• Execute vulnerability remediation and enterprise patching activities.
• Monitor platform health and respond to alerts using SolarWinds and related tools.
• Verify backup success and assist with recovery testing when required.
