Job summary

Coastal Harbor Health System in Savannah, GA seeks an Intake Counselor for a full-time night shift (11:30pm–7:30am) to support the intake and admissions process. You will conduct thorough assessments, enter data into the hospital system, and work with physicians to determine level of care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work/counseling/psychology or GA RN license is required.
• Behavioral health experience is required; inpatient setting preferred.
• Understanding of psychiatric and substance use disorders and level-of-care determinations.
• Previous heavy data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake calls, complete thorough intake assessments, and enter all intake and admission data into hospital database.
• Determine staffing level of care with MDs and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Maintain daily census records; verify insurance benefits.
