Job summary

Universal Health Services in Savannah, GA seeks an Intake Counselor for a full-time night shift (11:30pm-7:30am) to support intake and admissions. You will enter data into the hospital database and coordinate with MDs on level-of-care decisions.

The role includes maintaining census records, verifying insurance benefits, building referral relationships, and contributing to patient care across UHS facilities. The position offers 40 hours weekly with full benefits and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work/counseling/psychology or GA nursing license is required.
• Experience in the behavioral health field is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
• Proficient in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake calls and complete intake assessments, entering data into the hospital database.
• Determine staffing level of care with MDs and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Maintain daily census records and verify insurance benefits.
