Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking a Full Time Seasonal Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in Selkirk Lodge, White Pine Lodge, and Humbird Hotel public areas, stock towels, and assist with laundry. You’ll greet guests and work as a team.

Requirements include ability to walk/stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform duties with a positive guest-focused attitude. Prior housekeeping experience preferred; minimum education none.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Experience in housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas across multiple lodges.
• Stock towels and robes; manage laundry as needed.
• Greet guests and assist with luggage and front desk tasks when required.
• Collaborate with team to ensure guest areas are spotless.

Position Summary

• Responsible for cleaning within the Selkirk Lodge, White Pine Lodge, and Humbird Hotel public areas and employee work areas.
• Responsible for stocking spa towels/robes and washing and drying additional as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning up litter, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and other duties to ensure public areas are in satisfactory condition for guests.
• May be required to strip rooms during downtimes or stock linen or other items in housekeeping closets/Making beds/Occasionally cleaning guest units.
• Greeting guests, help with luggage and any other front desk needs when asked, bring items to rooms when requested by guests.
• Working together with other employees as team is a must.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, adhering to Schweitzer's dress code.
• Clean/prepare public areas including the greater lobby area, public bathrooms, pool area, storage rooms, hallways and stairwells, elevators, guest laundry, in-building parking area, front walkway area, glass and occasionally clean units to ensure guests a clean, attractive environment.
• Responsible for stocking linen and inventory closets, assisting the housekeeping staff with stripping of rooms and toting laundry.
• May escort guests to their rooms, assist with luggage and provide information occasionally.
