Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a team member for the 2nd shift to work in the hatchery environment. The role involves cleaning the chick room, transferring chicks, and assisting with egg handling and truck loading/unloading. Physical tasks and strict biosecurity requirements apply.

Responsibilities include maintaining hatchery temperatures, following safety guidelines, and ensuring a clean, compliant work area. Training and PPE are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Cleaning and sanitizing hatchery equipment using water hose and protective gear.
• Transferring baby chicks from hatching baskets to chick boxes.
• Monitoring temperatures in hatchers and setters to ensure proper conditions.
• Setting eggs and loading/unloading eggs and chick trucks.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all hatchery equipment using a high pressure and regular water hose.
• Transferring baby chicks from hatching baskets to Chick boxes.
• Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters.
• Set eggs.
• Pad Chick boxes, follow fogging schedule, operate macerator, operate chick counter, operate tray washer, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
