Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Hatchery Worker Labor HY01 to support daily hatchery operations, ensuring production quality and animal welfare. This role requires following procedures, maintaining records, and handling eggs and chicks in a fast-paced environment at our hatchery facility.

The position involves 4-day work weeks with potential weekend/holiday shifts, and requires readiness for early morning hours. Tyson Foods offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely in a production environment.
  • Preferred: Hatchery, poultry, manufacturing, agricultural, or production experience; experience operating pallet jacks, tablets, or electronic production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily hatchery operations to help achieve production, quality, and animal welfare goals.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain work areas, equipment, and materials for efficient operations.
  • Perform production-related activities involving eggs, chicks, supplies, and hatchery materials.
  • Monitor chick quality and report concerns or irregularities to leadership.
  • Move products, materials, and supplies throughout the facility using approved equipment and safe work practices.
  • Accurately document production information and complete required records using paper or electronic systems.
  • Assist with routine equipment operation, inspections, and reporting of maintenance needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies related to safety, quality assurance, sanitation, biosecurity, animal welfare, and GMPs.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for production activities.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and leadership to meet operational objectives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting changing production demands and departmental priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support hatchery and facility operations.
