Job summary

Aviagen is seeking individuals for Hatch Crew to transfer eggs from setter to hatcher and to clean and sanitize equipment and the hatchery floors. The role includes preparing newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery while adhering to welfare standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities include box-making, routine duties, and supporting hatchery operations. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Able to perform repetitive work and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Comfortable with limited supervision.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Clean/sanitize machines, tables, floors, ceilings, etc.
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers
• Make boxes and other general duties
• Handle day-old chicks in accordance with welfare standards and SOPs
• Prepare newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned.
