Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a Security Guard to support our facility's security operations and inventory control. You will be at the gate, verify access, and assist customers and vendors with courteous service.

This hourly role may require weekend shifts; you will use handheld devices for data entry and help ensure safe, secure premises while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships.
• Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way.
• Ability to accurately enter data on a handheld device or computer.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises; sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
• Verify only authorized individuals enter the property; provide directions to customers, vendors, and transporters.
• Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
• Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
• Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service; resolve complaints.
• Use handheld device to input vehicle information and verify VINs.
• Maintain professional appearance and orderly work environment.
• Maintain good communication with auction team members and leaders.
