Job summary

ADESA is seeking a Security Guard for a 3rd shift (Fri-Mon, 11pm-6am, 32 hrs). The role focuses on guarding gates, processing access, and protecting vehicles and assets at our Tulsa facility. You will greet visitors, monitor security equipment, and support inventory control while upholding a service-oriented culture.

Starting pay is $15 per hour. Prior security or customer-service experience is preferred, with a need to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a customer service environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to relate well and establish strong working relationships.
• Handle conflict situations positively and professionally.
• Accurate data entry on handheld devices or computers.

Responsibilities

• Secure gates and buildings; patrol premises and respond to emergencies.
• Verify authorized entry; provide directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
• Check gate passes and departing vehicles for authorization and security.
• Greet customers at the gate; resolve complaints courteously.
• Document vehicle information using handheld devices; ensure VIN matches shipper's Bill of Lading.
• Maintain professional appearance and a safe, orderly work environment.
• Communicate effectively with auction team members and leadership.
