Job summary

ADESA is seeking a gate clerk/inventory controller to secure gates, greet customers, and input vehicle data using handheld devices. You will verify passes, guard against theft, and maintain clear communication with the auction team.

The role is hourly with up to ~24 hours per week, starting pay $15/hour. Must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be able to stand for extended periods. Training provided, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires 18 years of age and a valid driver's license.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicles.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises.
• Verify only authorized individuals enter the property.
• Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
• Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
• Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service.
• De-escalate difficult situations and collaborate with partners.
• Input vehicle information on handheld device and verify VIN.
• Maintain professional appearance and orderly work environment.
• Maintain good flow of communication with auction team members and leaders.
• Any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
