Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a 2nd shift Security Guard to protect associates, customers and assets at our facility. You will patrol gates, verify access, and input data on handheld devices while delivering courteous service.

Join a fast-paced team, de-escalate conflicts, and maintain professional presentation. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and communication with auction staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Requires computer data entry skills.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles.
• Requires standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Secure gates and buildings and patrol the premises. Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
• Verify only authorized individuals enter the property. Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
• Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
• Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
• Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners and collaborate on the forefront.
• Using a handheld device, input vehicle information including the VIN number, miles, owner identification, vehicle options, repair orders and any other pertinent information.
• Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper’s Bill of Lading.
• Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment
• Maintain good flow of communication with all auction team members and leaders
