Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks an hourly Gate Security role at our Sterling facility. The team protects assets, supports vehicle location research, and ensures customers, vendors, and associates are served professionally at the gates.

You will report to the Operations Manager, may work varied shifts and weekends, and must maintain security standards while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships
• Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way
• Ability to accurately enter data on a handheld device or computer
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

• Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises.
• Verify only authorized individuals enter the property.
• Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
• Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service.
• When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners.
• Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers.
• Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities.
