Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at the Reception Access Desk. You will greet visitors, monitor access, and support badge management while delivering friendly, professional security presence.

This role offers weekend overnight shifts (Sat and Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM) with pay rate of $24.44 per hour. You’ll join a team that prioritizes safety, integrity and customer service in a dynamic property setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Answer phones, assist with front desk inquiries, and communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
