Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is recruiting an Overnight Front Desk Manager for The Wharf property in Washington, DC. This role emphasizes guest-first service, seamless check-in/out, and proactive guest assistance within a luxury hotel setting.

You will lead a front office team, recognize loyal guests, process bookings and payments, and provide local insights to ensure an exceptional stay for every guest.

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/ Business Administration
• 3 years of Front Office/Guest Service experience
• Communication skills for handling guest concerns and compliments
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into memorable experiences
• Fluency in the local language is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Coaching your front office team to deliver memorable guest experiences and the warmest welcomes
• Kick off truly memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes
• Acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or over the phone
• Taking, managing, and receiving payments for guest bookings
• Making the check-in and check-out process swift and seamless
• Staying ahead of guest needs to offer tailored recommendations
• Being the trusted contact for guests on billing issues or restaurant recommendations
